Periodically hosts LGBTQ filmmaking classes on Capitol Hill. You may be interested in their Fiscal Sponsorship program which allows your non-commercial project to apply for funding from organizations that require non-profit status. 501(c)(3) status also allows you to receive charitable deductible contributions from individuals—a major incentive for those considering making a donation to your project.

A program of Three Dollar Bill Cinema, TWIST provides unique opportunities for visiting and local filmmakers to engage and entertain over 10,000 attendees. (October 13-23, 2016)

A program of Three Dollar Bill Cinema, Translations Film Festival provides the Pacific Northwest with a venue for films by, for, and about transgender people and the issues facing the transgender community. (Dates for May 2017 TBD)
REEL QUEER YOUTH
A video production and media literacy training for LGBTQ youth and their allies ages 13-20 in Seattle, Washington.
An after school filmmaking and media literacy program for girls and gender non-conforming youth. Their mission is to support young people to explore, critique, and author media through a feminist lens.

The Seattle Documentary Association (SeaDoc) presents its annual filmmakers’ retreat, DocForest—a weekend of high-tech talk in a low-tech setting, filled with informal workshops, films, camaraderie, bonfires, food and drink! (September 16-18, 2016)

Women in Film Seattle is a non-profit organization of professional women in the film, video, new media fields dedicated to helping their members through support, education, and professional connection.
SIFF: SEATTLE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
SIFF is not only a giant, almost month-long film festival in May/June (super great for networking- especially at the shorts program for local filmmakers), but they also have an education program and other events at their theaters year-round.
